The Minority Leader in Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has retracted his statements about a recruitment scam. He previously alleged irregularities in the 2025/2026 recruitment exercises for Ghana’s security services.

Mr. Afenyo-Markin issued a formal apology for these claims. His apology was directed at the Minister for the Interior, Mohammed-Mubarak Muntaka.

He stated that he never intended to falsely accuse the minister personally with his previous allegations.

The retraction and apology signal a resolution to the public disagreement over the recruitment process.
