The Chamber of Agribusiness Ghana is calling for Ghana to create a national reserve of fertilizers. It also wants a national seed bank.

This is to help protect the country's farming sector. It will prevent problems caused by changes in global supplies.

Anthony Morrison, the Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber, made the call.

He spoke on March 9, 2026. He explained that fertilizer prices are going up around the world.

Morrison also said Ghana depends heavily on other countries for fertilizers. This makes the country vulnerable to global changes.

The proposed reserve would act as a safety net.

It would ensure farmers have access to the fertilizers they need.

This could help prevent food shortages and keep food prices stable.
