Minority Leader Osahen Alexander Afenyo-Markin has apologized to the Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak. The apology concerns allegations of fraud made during the security services recruitment process.

The apology came after a directive from the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Bernard Ahiafor. Mr. Ahiafor had previously referred Afenyo-Markin to the Privileges Committee.

Following the apology, the Privileges Committee referral has been withdrawn. This action brings an end to the parliamentary matter.

The allegations were made in relation to ongoing recruitments for the security services.

Parliamentary proceedings noted the apology and subsequent withdrawal of the referral. This resolution allows parliamentary business to continue.
