The Minority Leader in Parliament, Osahen Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has apologised to the Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak. The apology addresses allegations made regarding the ongoing security services recruitment process.

The issue began with claims of fraud related to the recruitment process. These claims were brought before Parliament.

Following the allegations and subsequent referral, the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Bernard Ahiafor, directed the matter to the Privileges Committee.

However, Mr. Afenyo-Markin has now formally apologised to the Interior Minister. This apology resolves the dispute that led to the referral.

As a result of the apology, the referral to the Privileges Committee has been withdrawn.

This development brings an end to the parliamentary proceedings concerning the recruitment allegations made by the Minority Leader.

The Minister for the Interior has acknowledged the apology.
