The Ashanti Regional Police have arrested two suspects believed to be involved in a major cocoa bean theft. The stolen beans are estimated to be worth GH¢3 million.

Authorities intercepted the suspects with a significant quantity of the stolen goods. The arrests occurred recently in the Ashanti Region.

This operation is part of ongoing efforts by the Ghana Police Service to combat agricultural produce theft.

The suspects are currently in police custody. Investigations are continuing to determine the full scope of the operation and recover any remaining stolen items.
