Amidst the severe flooding that affected parts of Accra last Wednesday, a young man faced a double tragedy as his efforts to salvage belongings from his room were compounded by the alleged theft of valuables from his car.
While battling the rising floodwaters, the victim reportedly discovered that the windows of his vehicle had been smashed, with thieves making off with his possessions during the widespread disarray caused by the heavy rains.
