The Ghana Police Service has arrested ten suspects in connection with cable theft. Eight of the suspects are Chinese nationals, and two are Ghanaians.
These individuals are accused of being involved in a syndicate that stole metal cables belonging to the Electricity Company of Ghana ECG. The syndicate allegedly exported these stolen cables.
Police made the arrests during an operation at the premises of Sentuo Company. The company is located in the Kpone Industrial area.
Authorities did not immediately state the total value of the stolen cables or the extent of the operation.
The suspects are currently in police custody assisting with investigations.
This operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat theft of public infrastructure and related criminal activities.
