A man has been ordered to stay in police custody by an Accra Circuit Court. The 28-year-old faces charges for allegedly stealing mobile phones.

The value of the stolen mobile phones is reported to be GH₵50,000.

Security personnel arrested the accused man. This happened after a complaint of theft was made. The theft took place at a mobile phone shop located in Makola.

The Ghana Police Service is investigating the matter further.

The court decided to remand the suspect. This will allow police to complete their investigation.

The suspect is expected to appear in court again on a later date.
