An unemployed man has been sentenced to four years in prison for stealing from a boutique. The Dansoman Circuit Court in Accra handed down the sentence.

Mutaru Mohammed, who is 27 years old, admitted to the charge of stealing. He was found guilty of taking clothing valued at GH¢100,000.

The stolen items belonged to Matilda Agyapong. They included bed sheets, children's pyjamas, underwear, corsets, and nightwear.

The court heard the details of the theft. Mohammed pleaded guilty to the charge.

He will serve his sentence at the correctional facility.
