Police in Koforidua have arrested a landlord. He is accused of locking a tenant in a room.
The incident happened because the tenant allegedly owed rent. The landlord is said to have kept the tenant inside for several hours.
Neighbours heard the tenant's cries for help. They then intervened to help the person escape.
The tenant was reportedly rescued by neighbours who came to their aid.
The arrest was made by the Ghana Police Service.
Investigations into the incident are continuing.
