A fire swept through Konongo on Saturday evening. The blaze destroyed several wooden buildings located near the railway line.
The Municipal Chief Executive for Asante Akyem Central Municipality, Ebenezer Ekow Aidoo, has issued a warning to those affected by the fire.
He advised residents against rebuilding their homes on the affected site.
Mr. Aidoo cited safety concerns as the reason for his caution.
