The Ghana Police Service has taken a nineteen year old suspect into custody following a sequence of residential burglaries in Kasoa. Officers from the Kasoa Divisional Police Command initiated the arrest after receiving several complaints from affected homeowners in the district.

A report from Citi Newsroom indicates that the suspect was apprehended during a targeted operation based on intelligence gathered from the crime scenes. Investigators believe the individual targeted electronic devices and personal valuables during the late night hours. The police have not yet released the formal name of the suspect pending further verification of his identity and possible involvement in other regional crimes.

Journalists at GhanaWeb state that the authorities are currently interrogating the teenager to locate the points of sale for the alleged stolen items. No official charges have been formally read in court yet however the suspect remains in police custody directed by the Kasoa Divisional Command.

While the MyJoyOnline report identifies the suspect as a mastermind the Ghana Police Service has characterized the investigation as ongoing and has not ruled out additional arrests. Residents have been urged to provide any relevant information or surveillance footage to the local police station to assist in the prosecution of the case.
