Minister for the Interior Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak has given food items to the Ghana Prisons Service. The donation is to help inmates during the Ramadan period.

The items presented include bags of sugar and gallons of cooking oil. Cartons of tomato paste were also part of the delivery.

Support for this donation came from Ibrahim Mahama. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Engineers and Planners.

The food items will be distributed to inmates across various prisons in the country. This effort aims to support their religious observance.

Ramadan is a holy month for Muslims. During this time, observant Muslims fast from dawn until sunset.
