The Minority Caucus on Parliament's Committee on Employment, Labour Relations and Pensions has expressed strong concern.

This concern is about the long delay in paying some allowances to Ghana Prisons Service officers.

A statement from the caucus on February 23 pointed to an earlier document.

This document from the Prisons Administration dated February 17, 2026, confirmed that officers are still owed money.

The allowances are not part of their regular salaries.

The caucus is urging the Finance Ministry to pay these arrears quickly to the dedicated officers.
