Annor Ofori, aged 48, has been sentenced to three years in prison. A court convicted him of illegal hunting.

The illegal hunting occurred within the Ankasa Conservation area. This region is protected by law to safeguard wildlife.

The Ghana Police Service arrested Ofori. He was subsequently brought before the court.

The judge handed down the three-year sentence after considering the evidence.

This sentence serves as a deterrent against poaching and illegal hunting in protected zones.
