The number of people held in jail before their court cases have finished has dropped a lot. Justice Afia Serwaa Asare Botwe said this important change is thanks to the Justice for All Programme.

This programme has helped cut the percentage of people on remand from 30.57% down to 12.81%.

This reduction means prisons are less crowded. It also helps to make sure that justice is delivered in a timely manner for everyone involved.

The Justice for All Programme works to solve issues that lead to long waits for people in jail.

This initiative is a key part of improving the justice system in Ghana.
