Evangelist Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, also known as Nana Agradaa, is expected to be released from prison on March 3, 2026. Her lawyer, Richard Asare Baffour, confirmed the date.
The lawyer explained that the early release is not due to special circumstances. It follows Ghana's standard remission policy for prisoners.
This policy allows eligible inmates to be considered for release after serving two-thirds of their prison sentence. This reduction is generally granted for good behaviour during incarceration.
Mr. Baffour clarified that Nana Agradaa's case adheres to these established legal guidelines. There is no preferential treatment being given.
The remission policy aims to encourage good conduct among the prison population.
Further details on the remission policy were provided by the lawyer.
