A soldier injured during an operation against illegal mining has made a full recovery. Lance Corporal Morris Addae, part of the National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations Secretariat, was shot earlier this year.
The incident happened in Dormaa Central. It was on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
Unknown assailants opened fire on the task force. Lance Corporal Addae sustained a gunshot wound to his thigh.
He has now successfully recovered from his injuries.
