The Ghana Police Service has retrieved a vehicle linked to the Adabraka Gold Jewellery Shop robbery that took place in November 2024, as part of ongoing investigations into the high-profile case.

According to police, the vehicle, a Toyota Highlander, was recovered on January 15, 2026, during an operation at Ashaiman Lebanon. The vehicle was identified by investigators as having been used in the robbery and has been impounded as an exhibit for further forensic and investigative work.

Police said the vehicle was retrieved from its owner, identified as Abdul Samid Larry, who is also known as “Touch.” He was arrested during the operation and is currently in lawful custody.

Authorities say the suspect is assisting with investigations as police work to establish his level of involvement in the robbery and to trace other individuals believed to be connected to the crime. Police have not disclosed whether formal charges have been filed at this stage.

The Adabraka Gold Jewellery Shop robbery attracted significant public attention due to the nature of the target and the circumstances under which it was carried out. Police have previously indicated that investigations have been ongoing since the incident, with multiple leads being pursued.

The Ghana Police Service said the recovery of the vehicle represents a significant step in the case. Investigators are expected to subject the vehicle to further examination to show how it was used and whether it links additional suspects to the robbery.

Police reiterated their commitment to bringing all persons involved in the robbery to face the law. They also urged members of the public with relevant information to assist investigators as inquiries continue.
