Police officers in the Northern Region have created a special team to fight crime. This team is called Red Maria.
The goal of the Red Maria taskforce is to stop criminal activities. It will focus on Tamale and the areas around it.
This effort was announced by the Northern Regional Commander, DCOP Wisdom Lavoe. He stated the team will help make the region safer.
