Lance Corporal Morris Addae of the National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations Secretariat task force has recovered from a gunshot wound.
He was shot in the thigh on January 20, 2026. This happened during an operation to stop illegal mining activities in Dormaa Central.
Unknown assailants fired at the task force. Lance Corporal Addae sustained his injury during this confrontation.
