Lance Corporal Morris Addae has recovered fully from a gunshot wound. He is a member of the National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations Secretariat task force.
The injury happened earlier this year during an operation against illegal mining, also known as galamsey.
This incident occurred on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, in the Dormaa Central area.
Unknown assailants shot Lance Corporal Addae in the thigh. The shooting took place while the task force was conducting its operations.
Officials have confirmed his complete recovery.
