A police officer who was shot during an operation has fully recovered. Lance Corporal Morris Addae works with the National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations Secretariat task force. He was injured earlier this year during patrols.
The incident happened in Dormaa Central. The operation targeted illegal mining activities also known as galamsey. The officer sustained a gunshot wound during the confrontation.
The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources confirmed the officer’s recovery. They released a statement on Thursday, February 26, 2026. Officials visited the officer to check on his health progress.
