Community groups in Kenyasi are calling for a change in police personnel. They want officers who have been stationed in the area for extended periods to be transferred.
Frank Kofi Adusei, Chairman of the Omanbotantim Association, stated this in a recent interview. He believes this move is necessary to improve the fight against crime in Kenyasi.
Mr. Adusei explained that some police officers have served in Kenyasi for many years. This long tenure, they suggest, might hinder their effectiveness in addressing current criminal activities.
The CSOs believe that bringing in new officers with fresh perspectives could lead to better law enforcement outcomes.
They are urging the Ghana Police Service to consider their request to boost security in the Ahafo Region community.
