Community groups in Kenyasi, Ahafo Region, are calling for changes within the local police force. They want police officers who have stayed in the area for a long time to be transferred.
These groups believe that bringing in new officers could help tackle a rise in crime. Frank Kofi Adusei, head of the Omanbotantim Association, shared this view.
Mr. Adusei stated that some police officers have been stationed in Kenyasi for more than two years. He explained this to a news reporter.
The community members feel that long-serving officers might not be as effective in addressing current crime challenges.
They hope that transferring officers will bring fresh perspectives and renewed efforts to law enforcement in Kenyasi.
The group wants to see an improvement in safety and security through these requested changes.
