The Minister of Interior does not make decisions about who gets recruited into Ghana's security agencies. This was stated by Richard Kumadoe.
He explained that the rules for security recruitment place the authority with the leaders of each agency. This includes the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana Immigration Service.
Other agencies with this authority are the Ghana National Fire Service and the Ghana Prisons Service. These leaders are responsible for the hiring process.
