Hopeson Adorye, a leader in the Unity Party, has voiced his support for the Ghana Police Service. He believes the police should address insults and threats made on social media.
Mr Adorye cautioned that the police must ensure their actions are fair. He expressed concern that arrests could appear selective or be used for political reasons.
His remarks were made during an appearance on Adom FM's Dwaso Nsem program.
He stated that tackling online abuse is important for maintaining a respectful digital space.
The police have been making arrests related to offensive conduct online.
Mr Adorye emphasized the need for impartiality in these enforcement efforts.
