Four Ghanaian soldiers were injured while on UN peacekeeping duty in Lebanon. A missile attack struck their battalion headquarters.

Their accommodation was burned down as a result of the attack.

The Ghana Armed Forces has confirmed that the 14 officers affected have been re-equipped. They have also been provided with new accommodation.

The soldiers were serving as part of a UN peacekeeping mission.

The extent of the injuries to the four soldiers is not detailed.

The Ghana Armed Forces stated they have taken steps to ensure the welfare of the affected personnel.
