A senior official of the Ghana National Fire Service has expressed frustration over the perceived reluctance of some individuals to actively participate in extinguishing fires, particularly following a gas explosion incident.
ADO Alex King Nartey, Public Relations Officer for the service, stated that if individuals are present at a fire scene and capable, they should take the initiative to put out the blaze themselves. He highlighted the expectation that those who heard about a gas explosion should be prepared to act, rather than solely relying on the fire service to enter dangerous situations.
