A National Democratic Congress communicator has said that no Ghanaian citizen can decide when or where they should be arrested. Theophilus Dzimega Jnr. made these remarks concerning recent arrests.

Dzimega stressed that law enforcement agencies have the right to perform their duties. He stated that arrests should happen when there are grounds for them.

He argued that individuals cannot dictate the terms of their arrest.

This statement follows the arrest of Dennis Aboagye.

Dzimega believes that allowing people to choose arrest times would undermine the justice system.

He called for respect for the legal process.

The Ghana Police Service has not commented directly on Dzimega's statement.

The comments highlight ongoing debates about police powers and citizen rights in Ghana.
