The Center for Public Opinion and Awareness (CenPOA) has called on the government to abolish application fees for recruitment into security services.
This practice, which requires applicants to pay money to apply for jobs in agencies like the Ghana Police Service, the Ghana Immigration Service, and the Ghana National Fire Service, has been ongoing for years.
CenPOA stated that these fees act as a financial hurdle for many citizens hoping to serve their country.
The organisation believes removing these fees will make joining security services fairer for everyone.
CenPOA issued a press release detailing their position and demand.
