A group called the Center for Public Opinion and Awareness, or CenPOA, is asking the government to stop charging money for people who want to join security jobs. This means jobs in places like the Ghana Police Service and others.

CenPOA said in a statement that charging these fees creates a barrier. It makes it difficult for many qualified Ghanaians to apply.

The organization believes that serving the country in security roles should be accessible to everyone who is able and willing.

They reported that the practice has been going on for many years. This means people have had to pay just to be considered for these important jobs.

CenPOA wants more people to be able to join these services. They think removing the fees will encourage more applications.
