The Ashanti Regional youth wing of the New Patriotic Party has petitioned national security. They are asking for police protection for the Member of Parliament for Effiduase-Asokore, Nana Ayew Afriye.
This action comes after Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah made allegations. He claimed the MP planned to use the party’s Nasara Wing to attack him and his church.
The petition was officially signed by the Ashanti Regional Youth Organiser. It was submitted to the state security agencies.
The youth wing expressed concern for the safety of the MP. They believe the allegations could lead to unrest.
