Immigration officers and the Ghana Police Service conducted a joint operation in the Amansie West District. The Amansie West District Assembly also participated in the action.

The operation took place in Pakyi. Police and immigration officials targeted a location where foreign nationals were reportedly residing.

During the raid, 28 foreign nationals were arrested. A landlord was also apprehended in connection with the alleged immigration violations.

Authorities stated that the individuals are suspected of contravening Ghana’s immigration laws. The exact nationalities of the arrested foreigners were not immediately disclosed.

The arrests were part of an effort to enforce immigration regulations within the district. This action underscores the commitment of local authorities to safeguarding national borders.

Further investigations are ongoing. Those arrested will undergo processes according to Ghanaian law.
