A group called the Center for Public Opinion and Awareness or CenPOA says people should not have to pay to apply for jobs in Ghana's security forces. This includes jobs in the Ghana Police Service and other agencies.

CenPOA believes that charging money for job applications is unfair. They issued a statement explaining their position.

The organisation stated that this practice has stopped many capable individuals from even trying to join these important services over the years.

They are calling on the Government of Ghana to end this rule entirely.

CenPOA argues that removing these fees will allow more qualified citizens a chance to serve their country.

This call comes after observing the application process for security recruitment for many years.

The goal is to make joining the security services more accessible to everyone who dreams of helping protect Ghana.
