Ten thousand new recruits are currently training to join Ghana's security services. This includes the police, fire service, prisons, and the Ghana Immigration Service GIS.
Interior Minister Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak confirmed this development. He stated that these recruits have successfully completed the application process.

The Minister also revealed plans for future recruitment. Another group of 10,000 successful applicants will begin training next year.
