Two people have been arrested for operating an illegal mining site. The arrests were made by the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining IMCCIM.
The suspects were allegedly involved in illegal mining activities. This operation took place in the Tarkwa Nsueam Municipality.
Authorities seized equipment found at the site. This action was taken to stop the illegal mining.
The IMCCIM is working to stop illegal mining across the country.
