An Accra Circuit Court has remanded three Chinese nationals in police custody. They are accused of illegal mining activities.
The arrests took place in the Ashanti Region. A joint security task force apprehended the individuals.
The court has not yet made a final decision on the case. The men will remain in police custody while investigations continue.
Illegal mining, often called galamsey, is a significant environmental concern in Ghana.
Authorities continue to work to curb these operations.
