Police in the Ashanti Region have arrested three individuals. They are suspected of running a ring that made fake money. Officers found many fake cedis and dollars during a raid.
The arrests were made by the Ashanti Regional Police Command. The operation targeted a hideout used by the suspected counterfeiters.
A significant amount of counterfeit currency was seized. This included both Ghanaian cedis and US dollars.
The Ghana Police Service is investigating the matter further. They want to find out if more people are part of this network.
