Three people have been arrested by police in Odumase-Krobo. They were found with more than one million US dollars in fake money.

The Eastern Regional Police command reported that the arrests happened on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. These actions came after police received tips and acted on them.

The Odumase-Krobo Police Command led the operation. Detective Corporal Williams Asante was in charge of the team.

During the arrest, the suspects tried to bribe the police officers. They offered GH¢200,000 to prevent their capture.

Police rejected the bribe money. They continued with their duty to arrest the suspects.

The investigation into the counterfeit currency syndicate is ongoing.

Authorities are working to find out how the fake money was made and who else might be involved.
