Police in Odumase-Krobo have arrested three people involved in a fake currency ring. The arrests happened on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. This followed an intelligence-led operation.

The suspects were found in possession of more than one million US dollars in counterfeit money. The police did not state what the fake currency was intended for.

During the arrest, the suspects attempted to bribe the police officers. They offered GH¢200,000 to the officers involved in their apprehension.

The police rejected the bribe. They arrested the three individuals and seized the fake currency. The operation was led by Detective Corporal Williams Asante.
