The Ghana Police Service has dismantled an illegal mining syndicate operating in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality.
The operation was coordinated by police officers to stop illegal mining activities.
During the operation, several excavators were seized by the police.
Mining equipment belonging to the illegal miners was also confiscated.
The police are continuing their work to stop illegal mining across the country.
