Pirates have reportedly seized an oil tanker and its crew off the coast of Somalia. The vessel, identified as the Honour 25, was carrying 18,500 barrels of oil.
Six armed gunmen are said to have overrun the tanker late on Wednesday. The ship was reportedly bound for Mogadishu.
This incident marks a significant return of piracy to the waters off Somalia.
The region has been unstable due to ongoing conflicts.
The crew consists of 17 members who have been taken alongside the vessel.
