A Nigerian pastor and two Ghanaian men have been ordered to stay in jail by a court. They are accused of taking part in illegal mining activities.

The Nigerian pastor is identified as Eke Udo. The two Ghanaians are named as Kwabena Ofori and Daniel Ofori.

Police arrested the three individuals in the Amansie West District. This area is located in the Ashanti Region.

The arrests are linked to illegal mining, often called galamsey.

A Circuit Court in Accra is overseeing the legal proceedings in this case.

The court decided to remand them, meaning they will stay in custody for now.

This decision allows more time for the police and prosecutors to continue their investigation into the alleged crimes.
