Police in the Ashanti Region have arrested a man identified as Nana Yaw. He is accused of operating an illegal mining site in Manso Nkwanta.
The arrest was made by the Ashanti Regional Police command. The site was discovered at Manso Nkwanta.
Authorities seized several excavators from the illegal mining location.
The Ghana Police Service is continuing its efforts to stop illegal mining activities across the region.
