Five individuals have been arrested by the Tarkwa Divisional Police. They were apprehended for engaging in illegal mining activities. The arrests took place within a restricted concession.
The suspects were found with mining equipment at the scene. They were also found with gold ore.
The Tarkwa Divisional Police carried out the operation. The police stated that the illegal mining was happening on a concession where it is not allowed.
