The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority DVLA has found a group of criminals who were making and selling fake number plates for vehicles. These plates were not authorized by the DVLA.

This discovery was made possible through investigations conducted by the DVLA. The National Security Secretariat also provided support during these investigations.

Julius Neequaye Kotey, the Chief Executive of the DVLA, shared this information with reporters in Accra. He stated that the network produced about 30,000 fake number plates.

The fake number plates created by this network are believed to be part of a larger criminal operation.

Authorities are continuing their work to fully understand the extent of this network's activities.

The public is urged to only use official DVLA services to avoid being victims of such fraud.

This operation aims to ensure road safety and prevent vehicles with unauthorized plates from being on the road.

Further details about the arrests and the ongoing investigation are expected from the DVLA.
