A new coalition of civil society organisations is being formed in Ghana. Its goal is to fight organised crime that crosses national borders.

This group will also work to stop the trafficking of young people. These individuals are being forced into cyber scam operations across West Africa.

The announcement was made on Thursday, July 30. This date marked the 2026 World Day Against Trafficking in Persons.

Participants at a national forum discussed the issue. They adopted a list of recommendations for the government.

Financial institutions and technology companies also received recommendations. These aim to help prevent trafficking and cyber scams.

The coalition's formation highlights the growing concern over these criminal activities.
