The Ghana Police Service has arrested two groups in the Central Region. They are suspected of being part of a group that steals goats.
The arrests happened near the Assin Besease barrier. Police officers saw vehicles carrying the stolen animals.
Officers from the Central North Regional Police Command made the arrests. They had been watching the area because of information they received.
A total of 27 goats were found in the vehicles. The police are investigating the incident.
The suspects are believed to be part of a syndicate that steals goats.
Further investigations are underway to identify all members of the group.
