Immigration officers and the Ghana Police Service joined forces for a special operation in the Amansie West District. They searched for people not following Ghana's laws.

The operation led to the arrest of 28 foreign nationals. A landlord was also arrested during the raids. All were taken in for breaking Ghana’s immigration laws.

The suspects were found in secret spots also known as hideouts. These were located in Pakyi No. 1 and Pakyi No. 2 within the district.

Authority figures confirmed the arrests were due to violations of immigration regulations. Further actions are being taken by the relevant agencies.
